Session ESSI1.16: Earth Observations for Sustainable Development 
at EGU General Assembly 2019, Vienna, Austria (7 - 12 April 2019)

The application of Earth Observation (EO) technologies can contribute to the delivery of sustainable, economic and societal benefit in low-income countries, helping them meet the Sustainable Development Goals. This session invites submissions from researchers and practitioners whose work with EO technologies provides the information needed to assist key sustainable development challenges.  The session will cover: disaster response, early warning systems, water resources, agriculture, air and water quality, deforestation,  land-use change, urban development and renewable energy.
