The Global Forest Observations Initiative (GFOI) together with Norway’s International Climate and Forests Initiative (NICFI) and its partners Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSAT), Planet and Airbus are hosting a series of webinars on how to use the new freely available datasets of high-resolution imagery of the tropics made publicly available by the NICFI.
This is an unprecedented opportunity to access and use high-resolution Earth observations that have historically been hard to access and very expensive, to improve forest monitoring and provide transparency on deforestation in the tropics. Understanding how to use these powerful new datasets for forest monitoring will enable anyone to take an active role in addressing forest management, climate action and sustainable development.
The first webinar will be held in English on Tuesday 15 December 2020 at 14:00 to 15:30 CET. The webinar will be recorded and made available after the event.
